Pursuant to Executive Order 10, issued by Governor Kim Reynolds in January 2023, the Iowa Department of Corrections is required to review all its administrative rules by September 1, 2026. Following publication of a report of the review, the Iowa Department of Corrections will rescind each chapter and repromulgate rules that are necessary to keep no
later than December 31, 2026.
Executive Order 10 also imposes a moratorium on new rulemaking until that process has been completed.
