Prison Inmate Michael Horlas Dies
CORALVILLE – Michael Eugene Horlas was pronounced dead due to natural causes at 10:18 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in a hospice room of the Iowa Medical and Classification Center. Horlas was 71 years old at the time of his death.
Horlas had been serving a life sentence for the crime of Murder 1st Degree from Scott County. His sentence began on October 19, 2001.
